Shore Excursion Safari into Schotia Private Game Reserve

Schotia Private Game Reserve, next to the Addo Elephant Park

Activity Description

OUR SAFARI TOURS INCLUDE DRINKS, SNACKS/LUNCH, TRANSFER FROM PORT ELIZABETH HARBOUR AND THE CONSERVATION FEE.

Enjoy a safari tour in Schotia Private Game Reserve, bordering the eastern side of Addo Elephant National Park. Schotia offers the possibility of viewing Africa’s ‘Big 5’ animals (elephant, rhinoceros, lion, buffalo, and leopard) in their natural habitat, as well as giraffes, hippos and crocodiles. Schotia is a must-see destination in the Eastern Cape.

Join our qualified guides on a day safari and learn about the large variety of animals and the surrounding areas. Each drive is unique and unpredictable as the animals are constantly on the move. Our guides will, however, do their best to provide the best sightings possible.

Tours take place in one of our open safari vehicles and snacks and drinks are provided on every tour.

Sundays River Adventures

Customer Reviews

What a great day out. A little chaotic as the ship NCL Dawn was late in to Port Elizabeth, but the lady organising it was very patient and competent. The Sundays starting point in a hut was amazing, beautifully decorated and great rest area and souvenirs for sale. The safari was excellent and Norman our driver and guide was outstanding in his knowledge and interest in getting us the best views. We were surrounded by elephants as we entered the main area, about 15 of them and it was a little scary as the big male made a bit of noise. Then we saw some giraffes, zebra, water buffaloe and numerous types of deer, sorry I can't recall their names. The finale was seeing several lions lazing about 30 metres away for 20 mins. A couple wandered off and we found them later near a waterhole. It was a really excllent day and well worth the money, but we did book directly with them Thanks to all the staff involved and to the schotia staff for keeping such beautiful animals well. - Ms

We had a great time on our safari. Our guide, Norman, was excellent! Very knowledgeable and absolutely in tune with nature And Marilyn too! Thank you ! - Malcolm

We did the half day Safari, it was well organized and we saw many animals. The habitat of the reserve is really big. The staff was prepared and kind. We were very happy, we recommend it. - Carlo

- Frank-Uwe

Great tour. The guides were professional with a profound knowledge. All our expectations were fully met. - Klaus
