River Cruise Early Morning (1,5 hours)

Activity Description

Start the day on still water while the Sundays River wakes up.

The early morning cruise is a quiet 90 minutes on the river at Colchester, Addo, before the day gets busy. Morning is a lovely time to watch birdlife along the banks and enjoy the soft light over the water, just below the southern entrance to Addo Elephant National Park in the Eastern Cape. The boat used depends on your group size.

Meeting point: 1 Jetty Street, Colchester, under 30 minutes’ drive from Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha).

Who it suits: early risers, photographers, birders and couples looking for a peaceful start before a safari or a day in Addo.

What to bring: a warm layer for the morning air, a hat, sunscreen and a camera. After the cruise, visit A Taste of Africa Restaurant & Coffee Bar close by for breakfast or coffee. We can also help arrange return transport or overnight accommodation.
